Mitzy McCorvey is a current board member and was nominated by the NRA Nominating Committee. She is an NRA Benefactor Life Member and sits on a number of NRA committees such as Women’s Policies, Hunting and Wildlife Conservation, and the 2018 Membership NRA Nominating Committee. She is on the NRA Women’s Leadership Forum Executive Committee and the Host Committee. She is the Chair of the Women’s Leadership Forum luncheon and has hosted the NRA Texas/Florida Reception at Family Ranch.

Ms. McCorvey is the recipient of the Houston Safari Club President’s Award and was named the 2016 International Huntress of the Year. A philanthropist, Ms. McCorvey funded the drilling of 3 boreholes in Hwange National Park, Zimbabwe, and funded the construction of a new school building in Tsholotsho, Zimbabwe. She is a Life Member of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo and a recipient of the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo President’s Award Scholarship Judging Committee.
