"As the son of a retired Marine, I was taught early on that your name and reputation are one of your most valued possessions. I am running for the NRA Board of Directors (BOD) because there have been many years of mismanagement, misdirection and not listening to the membership. The NRA BOD needs to improve its financial footing while expanding membership back to the prior level and restoring its reputation as the predominant defender of gun rights and firearms instruction. The only way to achieve this is transparent communications with the membership and a return to our core principles of promoting competitive shooting sports, supporting firearm instruction, and legislative action to reaffirm our pro-2A base both throughout the United States and local and national legislative regions. The NRA BOD needs to become lean and structured to become more strategic in its function to posture the NRA for future threats against the Second Amendment and our organization while a support function of leaders handles more of the daily activities. I am more than willing to work myself out of a job! I believe that the NRA is not only the original firearms training and gun rights organization but offers the most to the shooting community and I will do all I can to help restore its reputation and value to the membership.
I look forward to serving you on the NRA Board of Directors."
